Facts and attribution
News briefs identify and link to their reporting source. Reports, allegations and predictions must remain attributed. Original publication dates are retained; an update does not make an old story new.
How briefs are prepared
Short sourced briefs use automated drafting and factual checks against the supplied source material. These checks can miss errors. A linked brief is not a claim that our staff attended an event or independently confirmed another publisher’s reporting.
Photos and video
News photographs require a recorded source, credit and permitted use. File photographs are labeled. Official videos play in the publisher’s embedded player; they are not downloaded or republished by us.
Corrections
Material errors receive a visible correction on the article. Coverage and commercial placements are kept separate.
